How much does it cost?
- Adults 17yrs+, $16 pp/pn.
- Young Adults (12yrs to 16yrs) $12 pp/pn
- Children 3yrs - 11yrs, $8 pp/pn.
- 2yrs and under - $4 pp/pn
- Pets - Free *MUST BE ON A LEAD/TETHERED AT ALL TIMES (More info below)
- Visitors to Camping guests - $5 per person. (More info below)
When are you open?
- The parklands is now open 7 days a week. Please check the open hours for our kiosk office on arrival.
- The office and shop is open every day, Please check the opening hours at the office.
- Need to call us? Sure, please call between 9am and 5pm.
- Maintenance days are Tuesday/ Wednesday each week. This means we may be taking care of mowing and fire pits on these days and there may be a small amount of extra noise on those days.
Do I have to book?
YES!! Bookings are essential here at Running Creek. We keep a low cap of people on the property at any one time. This ensures your stay is quiet and peacful with plenty of space around you.
How do I Book?
To make your booking go to our "contact us/Bookings" page located at the top of this page. For mobile devices, click on the menu button in the top corner of the page and select "Contact/Bookings".
When can we arrive, and when is check out?
- Arrivals - Anytime between 8am and 8pm.
- Departure - Before 3pm on the day of check out.
What facilities do you have?
As an eco-friendly camping facility, we encourage our guests to bring their own facilities, this helps reduce our environmental footprint.
Toilets- 6 Toilet units are on site in the main camping area. (4 units on a large holding tank and 2 portable toilets on the ground to assist those with mobility trouble)Showers - 2 Portable shower units, free to use and gas hot water. Located away from the main camping area, aprox. 110m from the creek bridge. Walking or push bike riding only. Why the long walk? Well we collect all our own water here at Running Creek, thats right, your FREE, HOT shower is fully eco freidnly and sustainable, so the long walk will take you up closer to our water tanks where there is enough area to collect all the rain water we need. Bins - 2 large bins located in the main camping area. **Coming soon - Recycling Bin! We are super excited and cant wait for it to arrive!
Cans collection pod - please put all your cans in this pod. We take all your cans to the cash for cans facility. All proceeds are used in projects that help us create a more eco-friendly environment. So far we have planted 250 trees from all your cans!! Check out our Whats Happening page for updates on our projects. Dump point - We currently do NOT have a dump point, please do not put your personal chemicl toilet waste into our toilet system. The nearest dump point is Woodford Show grounds.
Water - We do NOT have any water supply here for campers to use. Please bring in your own water. Drinking water can be purchased at the office Kiosk.
Power - We do not have power facilities here. We high;y recomend solar units for Happy Campers to get the full benifit of those creature comforts while your away. Although theres nothing quite like going bush old school style!
Can I have a camp fire?
- We love a good Camp Fire, and we love letting our Happy Campers enjoy a camp fire out here. Be Fire Smart, Be Fire Safe.
- Fires must alwasy be contained in a fire drum. We have small supply here for you to use.
- NEVER have your fire on the ground.
- Keep your fire clean, adding paper and rubbish can cause embers to float out of your drum and out of your control.
- Supervise, Always supervise your fire.... ALWAYS
- Extinguish your fire completley, when you retire or when leaving your site. Put your fire out COMPLETLEY.
- Be prepared for a fire emergency. Always have fire fighting equipment on hand ready, not stored in your camper, campervan or car where you can not reach them quickly in an emergency.
- Be aware of your suroundings. the camp grounds is situated between Bellthorpe national Park and Running Creek State Forest.
Do you have Firewood?
YES!! Please purchase our sustainably sourced firewood – Our supplier is a leader in green waste management. Their product is sourced from Australian sustainably grown and sourced timbers and is often the unusable off cuts from large saw mill companies.
- Bagged firewood is $12 per bag, Kinderling is $5 per bag and available from our kiosk office. You can bring in your own fire wood, however we do not allow other companies/private persons to deliver wood to the campground or your site.
- The use of chainsaws is prohibited on site. ***DO NOT CUT DOWN OUR TREES OR BRANCHES***
Do you have a creek for swimming?
YES!! Running creek a small rocky creek that runs through the camping ground.
- It's not suitable for kayaks or large floating devices
- Its perfect for pets to swim (on leads)
- It does have a swimming water hole or two. Small in width and only arm pit depth when at its best)
- No camping permitted on the creek bank, all camp sites are set back to allow communal use of the creek areas.
- Perfect to take a chair down and sit with your feet in the water, listen to the birds and sounds of the creek.... arrrggghhh the serenity ;)
Can we use a generator?
YES!!
- Between 8am - 10am and then between 4pm – 6pm.
- generators must be kept at your site (no further than 2m from your tent or caravan)
- Keep fuel safe by storing you fuel at your campsite with a fire extinguisher ready.
Are you Pet friendly?
- YES!! We love pets, all shapes and sizes! Dogs are the main camping companion, however, we have met some amazing and unsual camping pets, so if youd like to bring your pet, and they are not a canine, just ask us first if there is any special requirments necesary. Unfortunatley, horses are not permitted.
- All pets are to be contained/ tethered or on a lead, at all times. This is a Moretonbay Regional Council local law, its important to be in control of your pet at all times.
- Collect all pet waste and dispose of waste in the large bins provided.
- You are responsible for your pet, its waste, its behaviour and its damages under local law.
- We are in the bush, Please have your pets tick protected.
- Horses are NOT permitted. You will see horse pass by the campground regularly, keep pets and children safely inside the camping ground. Remember... on QLD roads, a horse has right of way, please drive with caution and watch for direction given by the horse rider.
Are you children friendly?
- YES!! We are children/family friendly,
- Children need to be supervised at all times.
- Children (all ages) must be with an adult at the showers.
- Bikes are fantastic out here! Helmets and adult supervision are necessary. The bike track is the preferd place for bie riding.
Can I have visitors to my campsite?
YES!! But.......
- There is a limit of 10 visitor pass's for the whole campground each day. 1 pass per person all ages.
- Bookings are absolutley essential, please contact us to add visitors onto your booking or have your visiting guest contact us to book in. $5 per person, payable at the office on arrival.
- Visitors are only permited from 10am to 2pm. Please contact us to arrange any other visits outside this time slot.
Can I have my party/event here?
YES!! We are happy for you to have your party of gathering here, just make sure we are the best fit for your event....
- Noise curfew is 10pm
- Muisc must stay within your campsite (if you walk to the next campsite and you can hear it, its too loud)
- Food cateres / food vans are welcome (Remmber we have no power or water for them)
- All guests must be booked in and check in at the kiosk
- Non camping guest must book for a day pass (we can arange later times, please contact us)
Do you have a Noise Curfew?
YES! 10pm is our Noise Curfew
- Please arrive well before 9pm.
- No driving around the Parklands after 9pm
- Please turn music down and keep voices lowered after 10pm
- TIP*** To check your noise, walk from your site to the next site, if you can hear your music or group, your too loud :)
It's a bird, no its a plane, no its..... maybe something thats not Happy Camper friendly?
For guest safety, these items are not permitted:
- Motorised recreation vehicles including Quad bikes, ATV's,
- Motor Bikes / Dirt bikes (Guests traveling on bike are most welcome, but bikes can not be ridden through/around the property
- Drones
- Whip cracking,
- archery and gel blasters
- Chainsaws
- Rope swings on any kind
